Three simple words.

Do you know how simple it would be to say:
“I hate you”
Three words that could end it all but not be true,
Do you know how simple it would be to end it right now?
Three simple words: that’s how.

Is it that I’m shallow, do you think it’s this?
To young and naïve hearted to know what love it.
Am I immature and the fruit that’s bitter?
The girl who doesn’t know what she’s got, till it’s gone.
I guess it’s true but I can’t change what’s done.

Nicola asked me what was wrong and I said:
“I feel like my heart has been ripped out and chewed in front of me,”
But was it broken? Or just guilty?

I can’t believe I yelled and said the things I did,
I should of suppressed my anger, I should of lied!
But this isn’t a poem to say “I should of died,”

This poem is written for the paper to catch my tears,
the safety net for my dreaded fears,
Don’t blame yourself and say you hoped to much,
All you did is love me and nothing’s wrong with that,
